"She already knew they existed," Cat replied, hearing Izah's frustration, "she is no closer to finding these places then she was before." Watching Izah begin to leave, she felt tempted to follow but her feet remained grounded at where she stood.
Cat looked back to Rain, smiling confidently back to her intimidation. "Let them come, and pray to your gods that you don't get swallowed up by what comes out."

A shadow shifted in the corner and a raven flew out and perched on a old lighting fixture. A white haired woman ascended from the shade soon after and looked at the gathering. She nods to Cat a smirk on her face ans she glances over at Lady Rain and her entourage. "I hear you maybe in need of assistance. Lady Rain, I believe you haven't had the pleasure." She ask Rain as the Raven flew back to her shoulder holding a page in his beak. "My name is Jaziline and this is Rave. I might be able to help you on your quest for what is in those labs. And, unlike my associates, I do take payment."
The woman smirked at Cat, "Its been awhile and the land could use a little chaos don't you think?"

Izah sat on the steps of the ruins, watching the surrounding area. The woman had said that more were coming and after what was said, she couldn't tear herself away from this place. A new ruler wouldn't be bad for them but she was hesitant. Was that even what this woman wanted? To rule here? Or did she just want to take whatever she found and run? Izah didn't know, but it made her nervous, so she would stay. Sit here and wait until her people came.

When she noticed the shadow move, Cat felt the air begin to shift. Her right hand crossed over her waist to tightly grab the hilt of her blade. Familiarity brought relaxation and her guard down. Oh she knew this one. Cat grinned. "I don't know if I should hug you or fight you," Cat said, though she knew what she wanted to do.
"If that is what the fates have in store for it, then I am ready." Cat replied, a hint of excitement in her voice. Her tail raised high, lightly swaying in happiness. She looked back to Rain.
"Lady Rain, I think you'll find Jaziline and Rave to be the guides you need...Are you planning to base yourself in the castle here then?"

The comment Cat makes is enough to make her laugh, inwardly. She figures it would look very bad on her part to respond to that particular comment. The last thing she wanted to do was to be perceived as an imminent threat. Especially, she notes, as a woman exits the shadows and introduces herself- if they plan on coming in such numbers. Behind her, Henry paces forward. The red-headed lad is getting antsy now. There were more people than expected, and frankly, he feels like they should have brought more back up in the first place. Not to worry, of course. About ten more were on the way. He makes a point of examining each of the women from a closer standpoint, his expression stoic, but his eyes drinking in every detail of their forms.
"Payment can be arranged. I'd like to know as much about the layout as possible. Any beast ridden areas, mortal towns, cities or encampments. Sites that could be considered.. sacred, perhaps, to your people." Honestly, it was a headache creating a map- but it would have to be done. Some vague indications about what was or was not precious could be the difference between creating conflict or maintaining peace. With a self-appointed title comes the burden and responsibility of doing right by all who lived there.
"I do plan on doing so. Unless anyone has an objection?"
Rain glances around vaguely, but immediately shrugs her own question off. She wouldn't be anywhere else, of course. Behind her, the young adult shifts on his feet, glancing at his sister. Olivia has set herself up to lean against the archway, lazily looking out. He leans into his mother, murmuring.
"The first lot are coming. Accompanied by ten." As Rain nods, he stands back up to his full height, and resumes watching the women before him.

Jaziline watches Izah carefully as she stepped out to the front. A rogue element she wasn't familiar with, but Cat she knew dearly. "Oh Cat, either would be acceptable at this point." She said with a charming smile before resting her eyes on the child and watched him speak to Rain. "I wasn't much for map making I will say, but..." she paused glancing at the bird as he took flight back into her shade, "I can have Rave chart something up for you. He always had a knack for the small details." Jaziline walked up to Lady Rain looking at her entourage. "Anything in particular you are looking for? What I tell you will depend greatly on the price I ask." She said with a smile.

Cat looked over Jaz. It had been a long time. She wondered what her friend had done since they last met. There would be a time for catch up. While Cat did not think Rain's intentions were good...she had really no reason to think they were bad. The castle could use a new resident, if that's what Rain intended. Cat just had a room here. She had her shelter somewhere else in the land. As far as everything else Rain was saying...Rain did not sound like she was trying to harm innocent lives...This land has had many masters, some of which Cat served under and some she fought against. Cat was more concerned with other things besides rulers. "Who is coming?" Cat questioned, picking up what the other woman's son had said.

Dark clouds settled over the land known as WAR as rain began to fall. Streams began to form and run downhill through the wooded forest flowing into a lake that appeared out of place in such an area. The naked trees began to sway back and forth as single tree slowly became shrouded in what appeared to be a black mist before settling near the base forming the silhouette of a man. A cloaked figure slowly emerged from the mist Stepping forward as his head hung low, the strange mist quickly faded away as the man leaned back against the tree, his legs shaking as he slid down the base of the tree into a sitting position. The man let out a exhausted huff as fog was seen escaping the hoods opening, the man slowly raised his head looking out into the forest. “ I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that the field has been consumed by the woodland. It has been several years after all.” He said closing his eyes as the winter breeze gently blew against his covered face.

Vines and kudzu clung to dead trees east of where the man rose. The underbrush shifted and pulsated slightly as an arm with a pale complexion burst through small cuts lining the fingers and the thumbs. A top of one a dead tree crowed a raven in a sharp almost chuckling manner. The hand pulled back its fingers forming a vulgar gesture at the bird before slithering back into the vines. The soft sound of hacking could be heard now as a mop of white hair emerged from the underbrush. Slowly a woman crawled out, in one hand a jagged dagger that was used to slice through the brush and the other a black ribbon bound tight around her palm.
"Honestly." She said eyeing the bird with dark red eyes, "You could have said the building would have been a better choice." The bird cawed once more as the woman shook her head, carefully climbing out of the underbrush and standing among the vines. "I thought we hired a grounds keeper." The bird sounded off a response. "So you saying my Manor should be in tip top condition?" the caw sounded again and the woman shook her head. "You are the one who is suppose to remember this stuff. Not me." She stated firmly looking around till her eyes fell on the Man shrouded in a cloak.

She stated firmly looking around till her eyes fell on the Man shrouded in a cloak. Within the darkness of the hood the mans pointed ears twitched picking up the sounds of brush rustling followed by simple chatter between two occupants of the land. The mans red eyes drifted over to the two as he chuckled lightly. “And yet, there still seems to be life within this area.” He mumbled to himself. He slowly pushed himself back up off of the ground with his still wobbling legs shoving his back against the tree as if to assist him in standing up straight. “I suppose I should be grateful I’m even alive rather than angered at my current condition...”He sighed as he attempted to steady his weak legs so as to not give off the appearance of a wounded prey, givin the past of this land he could be attacked at a moments notice. His mind raced with thoughts, clearly the woman had spotted him but it was still unclear if her and her companion were hostile or friendly but remaining silent wouldn’t really help his position so he decided to give it a shot and greet the two. “Hello there!” He perked up, deciding to use a rather uppity tone as an attempt to disguise his usual voice. In the past the man was known throughout the land much to his dismay, in his current condition he hoped to avoid immediate conflict if at all possible. “I was wondering if you could inform me of exactly where I am?” He questioned, making an attempt to appear unfamiliar with the land.

The woman's eyes narrowed her hands moving to brush some of the briars off from her light business attire, she looked ready to close a deal at a funeral home in her black pant suit. She listened to the man's word and the weird accent he added to his voice. She did not believe that this was his actual voice it seemed a bit forced. Jaziline looked up to the bird who peered at the hooded man. "You are in War. Or where the people used to call it war." She slid the dagger into a small slot on her belt and folded her arms behind her back and leaned forward slightly. Her head tilted slight with her next words, "Why would you be wandering in these woods? It is quite removed." She asked the bird took flight towards the man before perching above the tree perhaps to get a closer look on the apposed strangers identity.

The man shook his head as he stuck his hand into his cloak. “I realize that I am rather far off from any civilization, sadly I seem to have gotten lost. Not to mention you are the only person I have ran into since leaving the city.” He looked up at the bird with curiosity rising, he felt like he had seen the creature before but for some reason he had no memory of it, he quickly dismissed the thought, after all there are thousands of birds within the land. His gaze returned to the woman as he returned a question of his own.” And what is your business here?” His curiosity rising once more as metal could be heard coming from within the cloak.

Jaziline scratched her head mulling over his explanation. "I have residence here..." the demon began as the bird that sat above the cloaked figure shook its small head. "Had residence here. I was checking the property to see if something that I left here still remains." She said scanning her eyes around, "But it looked as though the land has been taken back by nature." She said pulling up some of the kudzu that had ensnared her entrance and pulling the plant free from its stem and discarding it to the side.
Jaziline turned her head, "If you traveled this far where are your provisions?" She asked finally picking up on the original suspicion she had. The man alleged traveled from town it was certainly more than a days ride and wandering. The bird took wing again fluttering back to the woman and perched on her shoulder. She turned her head toward it slightly keeping eyes on the stranger as if listening to the bird.

The man let out a sigh as the woman continued to prod him with questions before a smirk crept across his face. He brought his shoulders up to a shrug. “I wasn’t quite prepared for an interrogation so I may have not been entirely honest. I’m in search of a specific building or at this point it’s remnants perhaps you have some familiarity with it.” He broke eye contact with the female, looking into the forest. “There use to be a guild near here, I was hoping to...examine its remains for a story im writing.” He removed his hidden hand showing a metal pen in order to help his case seem legitimate.

Cat rested now in a larger window of the guild castle, one leg dangled of the ledge as leaned against the wall. Her view just barely overlooked some of the forest the surrounded the area. Some of castle was a little clean, last time she was here she had cleaned the kitchen and living room up. Lady Rain had come for a moment but just as soon as she appeared, that woman seemed to be gone ( ooc: ...Unless she...comes back). Now Cat's feet were brown from dirt. This time the garden. Spring was coming soon, and with spring there usually came new things and new life.

At the entrance of the guild a small child emerged from the forest making his way up the steps and kicking open the doors as he casually strolled down the hall way and turned right making his way towards the kitchen. He climbed up onto the counters and started rummaging through the cabinets knocking out weeks old bread and chips mumbling under his breath. “This should suffice...” he said grabbing a can of soup before cracking it open and swallowing the contents letting out a sigh of relief. “That’s better I was starving!” He exclaimed, jumping off of the counter and landing with a light thud. “Now then...” He cupped his hands around his mouth before shouting “Is anyone here!?” His red hair fell over his blue eyes as he looked around and listened for a response.

Cat looked behind her, hearing a voice echo faintly through the halls and walls of the castle. Swiveling her legs around and plopping back into the room, she began to saunter down the halls. "Marco!"
As she navigated her way to the kitchen, a yellow mist began to surround her. Soon her body was aglow. Cat hunched forward, soon two legs became four and she shrank. From her skin came a golden, almost tabby coat. Her eyes bright and yellow. The mist faded away, as if it was never conjured up to being with.

The child perked up upon hearing another voice, this building was not empty after all. “Hello?” He responded, stepping out of the kitchen, his eyes immediately looking down at the cat strolling down the hallway. “Well that’s not quite what I expected.” He said. “But I’m not surprised.” Zeke tilted his head to the side. “Hello there little cat, are you here alone?”

Jaziline smirked this seemed very familiar to her. It was like she was reenacting a scene from a past life. But before it was a man in white should she regale him in the tale? The bird as if reading her mind delivered a firm perk into the bridge of her ear the sharp pain caused her to flinch and remove the smile on her face. "I believe that would make me a sell out if you have coin or a traitor if you didn't." She said gently massaging her ear. Before she straightened, "Will you sell me your soul for information?" She asked walking up to the man hands moving to her shoulders pals upward as if making herself a scale weighing the decision she had asked him to make, "I can take you there myself. Though if not I may have to kill you for trespassing." She said adding a shrug to her final sentence.

The man lowered his head as he brought his left hand up grabbing the top of it. “Only a fool would sell his soul to a devil.” As he finished his sentence the falling rain came to an abrupt stop. “Your offer is rather hostile, I would even be okay with you taking me there. But at the cost of my soul I’m afraid I will have to pass.” As he stared at the ground, his hood hiding his face from the woman, a black mist started to seep out from the corners of his eyes. “You know...from my studies I was led to believe that the guild was now here to host the former guards of the demon queen, but now I believe they’re referred to as guardians?” He lowered his left hand placing it back into his cloak. “So I am slightly taken back that I am as you say “trespassing” and you will have to kill me for such a simple mishap.” A grin formed across his face as more black mist formed surrounding his legs. “However...if that is still your last remaining option, I will defend myself.” He finished raising his head back up to stare at the woman with a blank expression on his face but a certain blood lust in his eyes.
