Alchem stood motionless for a second, feeling completely paralyzed by the sound of his laughter. It made his heart stop, his lungs ceased to take breath, his mind panicked and raced with various thoughts each one worse than the last. At the very last moment, he came back to his senses and managed the duck, a cut forming on his cheek as he nearly escaped the attack. After doing so he would roll over to the side and scramble up to his feet, standing strong and firm in his stance. Taking a deep breath he began to recall some tips and tricks he was told many a year ago by his deceased brothers. "Concentrate. Clear your mind and find your soul. That's where power lies." Alchem took the time to clear his mind, wiping it clear of all negative thoughts and emotions and began to channel his energy. It would only take a small amount of time for him to do this, but to the child it felt like it was taking him bloody ages just to accomplish this one small task. He waved his hands and arms in a martial arts fashion, channeling energy and playing with a yellow misty aura that began to develop around him before shooting it forward with a thrust of his stance. The aura moved all but 10 feet before falling and disappearing. He wasn't in tune with himself, there was something he was missing. Alchem stood there defenselessly and slowly started to work himself back into another panic as he stared at the shadowy form of his father standing in the off distance.

Dark's smirk only grew in width, to the point his stitches could break apart at any given moment from the stress on his broken flesh. He took a step forward and blurred out of vision only to reappear right next to Lance, whom would find not a sword, but a a single index finger just under neath the mans chin. Said finger would twitch and become 'seperated' from the rest of the finger, where from this self inflicted wound the bone mutates forth in a small eruption of blood forming a small scythe like blade that nestled just around the mans jawline.
"On the contrary.. I actually think weak targets are just as equally pleasurable, to slaughter them like animals or drive them feverishly mad to the point they would commit murder suicide on entire population, turn them against their friends, drive them against their own families, watch them slaughter their loved ones in a carnival of blood and HORROR!" spitting out his words faster as his sadistic libido increased with every thought, eyes widened in absolute bliss and terror. Ready to out right attempt to cleave the mans head off his shoulders and crack it in half between his interlocked sharp jaws like a walnut.
....
But he merely resumes his normal composure, taking away the mutated weapon as his finger begins regenerating itself back to normalcy, a smile on his care-free face as he gives off a playful shrug.
"But I don't want to fight or kill any of you.. As I said, I'm just really burn't out on it, after all I've had to go through this past year."
Crossing hand over hand and making the cutest curtsy the male could pull off. "I'm absolutely semi-harmless."

Havoc's Father G watched a twist grin grow on his face one that would be accustomed to Havoc as the shadows aura danced about. "Father G" walked toward in a slow fashion, "How the weak will crumble and the strong will devour, what will be left of this boy, without his focus." Havoc would say in unison of Father G's copied voice. As his hand would reach out for Alchem's throat and unless he would move the shadow tendrils would slice him lightly leaving paper cut like cuts.

Apaichi shook his head turning towards the door. "Thank you for your time Miss Deandra, Im glad you will help with the tournament. I will see you soon feel free to stop by the guild sometime." Apaichi stepped forward vanishing from the area, his image reforming in the living room of the guild, lying on a couch while staring out of the large picture window.
--------------- "What family?" Lance said quietly. His thoughts racing back to when his parents were killed. "So what your saying is you are done? You may be in the wrong place for that."

"You may want to control how pissy you are in life." crossing his arms over his chest. "Or your hatred will end up making you just. like. me." he said with a finger wag in between those three words.

Lance looked at Dark, his frustrated expression simply vanished as he shrugged it off. "Im just saying, this land seems to be full of demons who are looking for a fight. He turned to Rave. I feel as though you could tell us a little more about this place." He looked at Everlyn smiling lightly.

Growling to himself as the tendrils came for him, he would jump back and give them a swift kick to knock them away to give him another time to think. He attempted to concentrate once more and took a deep breath, his aura flaring lightly and dancing around his body as he played with it a bit and ended up forming a small ball that he ended up hitting with his palm after he reared his arm back and then swiftly made a forward thrust that would send the ball straight for the shadowy figure of his opponent.

A man in a buisness suit stood out in the center of a clearing, the ground scapped from past battle. He pulled a cigarette out of his mouth and drop it onto the ground below putting it out with his shoe, exhaling a puff of smoke as he did so. He slowly looked up with a sigh before a smirk replaced it. "Let's get things started shall we?"He held his hand out to the sides as acid rose up from the ground, each taking the form of a demon, their bodies would shake violently as they began to solidify into the correct shape, some of them were males others were females, each one had the appearance of his past victims. "How do you destroy a land that has lasted this long?" The beings turned to face the man, a blank look in their eyes. "You wait until it's foundation crumbles, then destroy the remains." The "army" was 200 hundred strong. How long he had been planning such an attack was unknown but the time had come. "Leave the guild, it's nothing more than a remnant. "Attack every city save one, the city of light...it will be our last target, as for the other cities, kill everyone...no survivors." The man snapped his fingers as the army dispersed within each individuals hand, a blade would form from the same acid like substance the created them. Tidus placed his hands back in his pockets and vanished from the clearing.

Apaichi slammed his hand down on the table. "That is some hot chocolate!" He yelled, letting his tongue hang out, tears forming in his eyes. He ran past the library towards the kitchen turning on the water from the sink and chugging it. He sighed in relief bringing his head back up."Well that's a relief."

In the clearing Apaichi suggested, a dome would come online. It was clear, yet one would be able to see thin grid lines upon closer inspection. It would then flicker off after a moment or so, allowing a few dozen robots to enter the grounds. After they would enter completely, the dome would come alive once more. The robots would start shooting like mad at the dome itself, testing it. Blasts, bullets and the like. It all went off. Yet the dome didn't falter. After a thirty minute testing, the dome would come back down. D, who was observing from the sidelines would clap her hands. "Fantastic. Please send word to Apaichi." A small little robot would then zoom off toward the Guild. --- Inside the guild, Vash would wake up. The woman was unaware of Apaichi's return to the building. She'd yawn and stretch her arms. Waiting was a boring task, really. The woman would get up from the comfort of the couch and wander toward one of the bookshelves. Her crimson-brown eyes scanned the shelf for new knowledge.

Havoc would smile as the energy came in toward her the father G appearance would cover itself with the shadowy tendrils as they would knock into the light ball tearing away some of its energy as the light aura would tear the tendril apart until a small quarter size ball hit the "Father G" tearing a hole in the disguise leaving Jaziline's eye staring out at Alchem. The shadowy form balled in his own hands and a giant shadowy ball formed at least half the size of Father G as he flung it forward at Alchem.

Apaichi made his way back down the hallway, his arms wrapped around several bags of food, and a candy bar dangling from his mouth, he stopped next to the library noticing the door was open, he slowly knelt down dropping his food down onto the floor below."I'll be back for you my sweets." He whispered before standing back up and making his way into the library, as he rounded the corner his eyes locked onto Vash. "Hello there..." He said to the woman.

The woman filtered through the nonfiction, eyes skipping over the books she'd read already. She looked for something that would keep her interest, preferably one the recounted history or maybe a biography but- there was someone here. Vash broke away from the bookcase and looked over the man in the doorway. "Er...hello," Vash replied. Something about the man seemed familiar but she couldn't get a grasp on it. "Are you one of those guildies?"

Snow crunching beneath her old shoes, Sam came up behind the fellow with a way about her that spoke of determination. Her cane was practically a memory, only just bracing her right side. Pain and weariness melted away, and her voice was sharp a bark, "You there! Do you mean to stay here and make wrong what you cross?" There was disgust in her voice, and she near-about spat on the chipped sidewalks. Not for him, -- his voice told her more than his appearance -- but for everything around her. What wasn't already wrong in this sad excuse for a piece of Hope? Still, it was her piece, her home, for now. She could see the wreckage he had rummaged through; no snow covered it now. He had thrown something as she came.. A stocky piece of metal, like a pipe. Why he had bothered searching through the snow for something like that was beyond her. Why someone dressed as he was here at all, for that matter. Impatience was evident in Sam, she was tense with her jaw set. Not giving him a chance to answer the first time, she followed with, "Explain to me why you are here, further ruining a dreary day of snow, before I let these fools escort you out." Her arm swung out, as if revealing for the first time her neighbors. There were questioning looks on some faces, and others with resigned disregard for the pair now that Samantha had arrived were beginning to go about their day. In truth, there was some doubt they would do anything. Muttering in the shadows was the only sort of resistance most people of the slums could muster. Still, mobs did have their way of breaking out..but for a single man who was nothing but another annoyance in their lives?
Kain stopped for the first time in some while. His legs burned, and his breath was growing heavy, seized in panting. He felt a tight burning in his side. The chilled air left puffs with his ragged gasps through which he could see little clearly. The crisp cold that he drew into his lungs burned them, too. He wound his worn cloak around himself. It did little to keep out the cold. Slowly the man managed his way beside a paperbark, leaning against it's cold trunk as he caught his breath. His pains began to ease.
Trees surrounded him as far as he could see. Not much had changed since he left his home of Hope. As a boy he had ventured into the forests more than once, much to the fury of his father, Ulric. His father had warned him of the forests surrounding Hope. One could get lost before he realized it. There were creatures, too. Oh, of course Kain had been suspicious that Ulric had lied to him of demons. Creatures of fairytales meant to keep children from misbehaving. 'If you steal, snakes with four legs and manes of red and gold will come for you. With a mouth full of sharp, silver teeth, and claws of gold they will take from your hide tenfold what you take from others.' There had been more, and of course each always seemed worse than the last. He had never gone so far, though. Always he had made sure he could still see the walls just above cracks in the leaves. If the stories had not scared him, his father being angry certainly had when he was younger. Now, with only evergreens blocking his view all he could see was clouded skies. It was a shock when Kain grew older, to hear such stories even from the merchants and travelers coming to Hope. Only, they did not speak of it as if those were simple stories for kids. Villages razed, slaughters, fearful monstrosities found in nightmares. Some of it could have been blown out of proportion, yet so many people could not all believe it, surely, unless it were true in a way. There was a weary caution in him because of those stories. They played in his head as he picked out a path no different than any other in this maze of trees and set out at a run.
Through the night he continued like that, running until he could run no longer. He slept beneath a thick copse. Sleep had been flitting and soon he awoke with the dawn and set off again. Hunger gnawed at him, but there was nothing here he could hope to eat. His thirst was quenched at small steams that ran through the snow covered floor. A day more he did this, sleeping for short spurts, and then back to running. He developed a small cough, and at times his nose ran. He would be damned if he allowed a little cold to get him down, though.
On the third day, with the sun just risen and Kain on fresh feet, did he spy a break in the unchanging woodland. As massive as it was he could only have missed it during the night or if he were blind. Prominently displayed opposite of the sun, rising far above the forest he knew was a tree of white. The oddity drew his eye and his feet, and soon he was fast upon it. Breaking free of the forest, Kain nearly stumbled into a barren clearing, scarce of all but the most persistent plants. The massive tree was there, and a building that was somewhere between a townhouse and castle not so far from that. It was hard for him to pull his eyes away from the tree. The longer he was there, the more he could feel it's solemn presence weighing down on the area. There too was a touch of sorrow. Swallowing hard, Kain gave the tree a small bow while speaking an apology only he might hear. He turned then for the building, pushing his way in through it's large doors.

"Indeed I also enjoy such bloodthirst, more than other demons to the point I would eat babies and rape pregnant women!" He yawns. "But now I just want to.. Relax? Besides I'm not a natural demon so why should I care."

Alchem watched with some amazement to see that he had managed to at least do something to the Father G masquerader that he was training with. He took yet another deep breath, aiming to keep his mind completely void of negative thought -- or any thought for that matter -- in order to keep a calm and collected disposition which was essential to his aural technique. It was almost like a type of monk training to keep your serenity in the heat of battle, but of course the child was still fearful of his creator and former master. As he saw the eyes of Havoc peer at him from behind her veiling disguise, a sense of calmness hit him. He knew from the get go it never was really his own creator but just the sheer sight of him, even a fake image of him, brought nothing but fear and panic to the young boy's heart and mind; yet seeing the now somewhat broken disguise the charade was up and some of the fear left him. As the dark shadow ball came flying at Alchem, he had little time to react, but keeping his concentration he would bring up his right fist and bend his arm at a right angle at the elbow with his fist up and allowed the ball to make harsh contact with his arm. A faint grunt was muttered as the shadow ball stood there until Alchem mustered the raw strength needed to shun the ball of dark energy away, flinging it to the side with a forceful push of his arm.
A nice burnt blotch was shown on his sleeve with small streaks of smoke rising and dancing in the air as they emitted off the burn mark. Alchem's emerald eyes flashed for a moment as he took up a stance, legs apart and hands curled as if holding something spherical against his stomach, yellow aura pooling and collecting in the dome of his hands and soon filling out the circular shape he made with his hands. Thrusting his hands downward to the ground, the aura shot out along the ground to his target in a blind rush for his opponent's feet, but the aura wasn't giving off a feeling of harm it was giving off more of a feeling of confinement and restriction.
The words and questioning came at him like bullets in a warzone, penetrating into his ear canal and banging on the drums of his ears with powerful syllables of hate and disgust ringing throughout each sound and letter. The verbal abuse was nothing short of an appalling surprise, the vile and rude disposition brought much rage into the man's inner-self and it made him feign for the fortuity to physically beat and break the already broken and battered female that had such gull to present herself in such a brutish manner to his jolly disposition. But what would be the point? The screams of some long dead woman, the shattering of weakened glass bones, would be of no pleasure to this man in anyway. Her shallow threats went ignored with a smiling face and jovial voice that would answer in reply. "Why, I would never want to do any wrong. I simply came through spreading my joyous song!" he would answer after she had ceased her yapping. "I come from far to seek a relic of forgotten past, though I didn't expect to find myself here in this dreadful cast. I apologize for ruining your day deary, I certainly didn't mean too especially since I had no idea you were so weary! he would say throwing his arms up into the air as his grin beamed with brilliance, "As for your loyal escorting fools, they seem to be much more consumed by their bargaining and bartering for tools and stools and it would seem that you are the only to have lost their cool even when you're all wrapped up in such lovely wool." he would answer with his own set of insults to combat Samantha's. Lowering his arms to his sides he closed his emerald eyes and listened to the many murmurs coming from the many onlookers that managed the affording cost of paying attention. "Perhaps you shouldn't wear yourself any further and step aside for the relic I see is something you could possibly never provide." the man uttered his last witty insult to the female in hopes of her being dumbfounded and stepping down from her almighty high horse that she seemed to harbor.

Havoc,s Father G leapt up into the air as a dark aura sword formed in each of his hands to avoid the aura that came along the ground. The form came crashing down like a meteor toward Alchem crossing the blades before him so that they can cut across in an x formation milliseconds before the Father G would collide into him. Havoc sensed Alchem's ease and knew this was no good Father G would never allow such ease to exist. As Father G was half way toward Alchem his hollow laugh filled garden as the shadows twisted to hide the familiar comforts of Alchems home as his plummet approached and laugh rang clear.

Lance nodded slightly, soon deciding Rave wasn't going to answer him he turned away from the group bringing his hand down to rest on his swords hilt."Well have fun. I suppose I'm going to go and see if I can get some training done. Oh and by the way..." He stared out upon the landscape, his back still turned from Dark. "I want a rematch, so see ya around." With that he pushed forwards walking off towards the Southern city.

Apaichi shook his head as Vash asked him the question. "Not at all, I simply needed a place to stay. And I'm sure my brother wouldn't mind had he been alive still. Perhaps you knew him, his name was Nathan." "Mine is Apaichi." The man remained looking at Vash despite the sign of pain from losing his brother that was clearly seen in his eyes.
"Judging by your question I'm guessing your not a resident here either."

Vash would start to step away from the bookcase, arms folded as she moved close to Apaichi to be polite. The emotion in her face soured to one of confusion and disbelief. A lump quickly developed in her throat. Her grasp of understanding what Apaichi just revealed was slipping away. Trying to swallow the lump, Vash had to close her eyes. Her head turned just a little off to the side, "Did you just say Nathan was dead?" Her mind was jumping off to dozens of other possibilities. If Nathan was dead, what did that mean of Cat, the reason she was here? Was Cat's crystal just picking itself up and floating off just a fluke? She misinterpreted that sign? Vash was started to feel dizzy. That one moment of hope she had for her friend was ripped away from her. Vash started to step back, arms unfolded as she felt the air for a seat. The woman plopped down on the chair she was once napping on. Anything else Apaichi said was lost, even his name. Her mind instantly transported elsewhere as she jumped to conclusions.

The sky was lit up brightly by the sun, several rays of light shined down upon the land of War, it seemed like a perfect day, one of those that seemed like nothing could go wrong. Within the Southern city several citizens walked down the side walks, vehicles continually driving up and down the simple two lane roads. It was just another day for most of them, but something stood out within the crowd, a woman leaning against one of the buildings watching the people go by, a black trench coat covered most of her body, her light blue hair made many stare at her, it certainly was not a usual hair color seen. Yet with her green eyes staring people down, they wouldn't look for more than a few seconds.
A sound of panic could be heard, at first it was barely audible but as time went on the screams multiplied amplifying the sound, a large army of humans walked into the streets coming form the forest. All would be okay, except they were carrying swords already striking down several of the citizens, blood shooting up into the sky and puddling on the streets below, several bodies falling alongside one another. The army continued to push forward in a marching manner, their emotions were absent, which would only raise more suspicion.
Back by the building the woman in the tranchcoat would watch as people ran away curious as to what was happening. Her eyes looked off to her left seeing the large army march forward, she sighed shaking her head as she pushed herself off of the building. She pulled off her trenchcoat as it hit the ground she stood infront of the army. A chains hung around her waist, a sharp hook at one end of it and a metal circle to hold onto at the other end. She wore it like a belt around her blue jeans, a thin black shirt covering her upper body. "What's the hurry you guys? It looks like your having fun." She said with a bit of disgust in her voice.

Apaichi made his way towards Vash, it was more then obvious the woman was affected by this news. Atleast she had someone to tell her what had happened so she wouldn't go on a blind rampage of anger like he had. He knelt down infront of her looking at her. "He was killed in the last battle here, the white tree outside is where his grave is. As far as I know he was the only one who died. I'm sorry." His eyes looked off to the side.
