A tall young man walked in from the cold, his tattered cloak soaked in blood. As the man sat down, his breathing became more calm, as if finally finding his way home after such a long time. He looked around quietly, curling and uncurling his fingers around the hilt of his blade, his crimson colored eyes scanning the environment for any signs of familiarity.

A cloaked figure walked down a long dusty road, it was the main road that led out of the land of War. The figure however, was making his way back into the boundary a familiarity surrounded the man until his aura was felt, it was different than ant other auras that had been felt within the land. He proceeded forward staring straight ahead, within the shadows of the hood a small smirk could be seen. "It's good to be back."

Garrett stretched and yawned within the City of Light's Album Tower. A radio alarm clock at his bedside table tuned into a heavy metal station, waking him up instantly. He flipped the switch to turn the alarm off. He got out from under the covers and saw a bright sun rising over the city through the large window of the penthouse.

Havoc smiled placing a hand on the boys head a gesture she found vial but knew it was an appropriate time for human contact when she heard the clapping. Havoc's more natural face appeared wearing her favorite emotion indifference, "Manners, is when one waits for approval to approach, I could care less what you are called. State your business." She said a powerful demonic aura started to beam of the demon queen. She wanted to let Tidus know his presence was only tolerated.

The man knelt by an old tree, it's bark marked by years of war and turmoil. It was a familiar sight to the man, a sign of the world he left behind so long ago. A world of friends and enemies, whose faces had faded from memory over time. Yet even with the changing of times he could still remember the days spent sitting in this tree, conversing with his friends about battles fought earlier that morning. This was his home, this was the home of many brave warriors, this was where he needed to be. After playing back the fragments of his memories he smiled a bit before continuing onward, continuing his search.

Garrett returned to the scene where Apaichi lost his hand. He went over to the side where he picked up a cup that once contained hot chocolate, and turned in the direction of the guild. "It's time to return this."

The woman figure walked with a sort of prowess of a hunter moving carefully through the forest. Her eyes had a red tint when ever the sun shined directly into them otherwise her eyes were a deep brown. Her brown curls hung loosely on her shoulders where her short green dress fell almost like an oversize tunic falling inches above her knees covered in her white leggings and brown boots. At her waist cinching her large dress was a brown belt that held her specialized dagger making her look like she was prepared to save a princess all she needed was a pointed green cap. Mercy walked silently till she came upon the guild, she froze when she smelt something familiar. Garrett...

Garrett knocked on the castle doors. "Anybody home?" He was quieter this time so he wouldn't cause anybody's ears to bleed. The white tree loomed over him, the centerpiece of the land. The shadow it casted was as grande as the tree itself.

Mercy pulled an ocarina and pulled it to her lips and started to play a tune. Her eyes remained on Garrett as she approached him from behind lightly treading forward toward him. Her head was tilted wondering why he was carrying a mug to the Guild? Or why he was at the guild?

Chaos sat down and opened a dusty old book, reading the names of those who once resided in the lands. "It must be here somewhere"

Garrett turned around to find out what was playing the melody he heard. It could have been some sort of special doorbell. "Mercy? You look like different.. but you also look like something I'd seen before.." It was definitely her hair.

Thunder; it shook the sky and land as if some kind of bomb had gone off. There was no bomb though as they sky turned shades of orange. It looked almost like something large was moving above the clouds, fast too. As it pierced the clouds, angled downwards towards the landmass, it almost looked like a meteor. As it passed over the trees it scorched them, leaving tongues of flame licking at whatever dry life there was before burning out. Snapping trees echoed for miles as the flaming mass finally met the ground. From a short distance, a pillar of water could be seen rising above the treeline as the mass finally stopped. The ground rumbled only briefly before everything grew quiet once more.
Upon the shore, a large trench-like mark in the ground was quite visible, about 10-15 feet across it ran from just inside the trees all the way to the water. The trench was deep enough that now water from the ocean was moving inwards, filling the trench which was a good 8 feet deep. What had caused this? A few yards into the water, a figure rose, but nowhere near the size needed to cause such damage. The figure looked human, and upon closer inspection, was very much human. The man, with clothes drenched, wadded through the shallow water towards the shoreline where once his shoes touched the sand, he collapsed to his knees.
He crouched there, on his hands and knees, coughing up what water had entered his lungs. He wore jeans, and a simple reddish-brown t-shirt beneath a black jacket. All soaked and clung to his body. His hair was black, but the glare from the sun made it take on a blueish sheen. Slowly, the man stood up, stumbling slightly only to catch his balance a few moments later. He'd seem ordinary to anyone, but for the briefest of moments his right hand seemed to catch the glare of the sun, as if it was metal, his right eye also seemed a bit... different. That was when he turned down, looking at the glinting hand, before wrapping it in cloth, cloth that had already been on his arm but the fall and water must have loosened it's hold. He turned his head, looking up at the sky, a clear frown and look of anger upon his face.
When he turned around, facing the strange land, he wondered where he could possibly be.

Mercy nodded, "I did some soul searching, found a princess and saved her, got some new clothes and this thing." She waved the ocarina around not mentioning the fact that she drained an entire army of their blood and brutally raped and murdered the princesses captor. She smiled, "What are you doing here at the guild?" She asked politely.

"It's good that you've done something in your free time." He constantly shifted from standing on the tips of his toes to his heels. "I'm here to return a mug that I took back to the city." He held up the cup by its handel to show her. There wasn't much other reason to be here aside from that and saying hi to the resident of the castle.

Mercy walked up to the castle and pushed open the door and walked straight in. "Rumor has it a few grumpy demons lived in it. One with cat ears, one that had a mechanical arm and some others most of which I believed died." she said as she began down the hall. "I am sure there are others. Maybe a few ghost." She said as she continued down the stone corridor expecting Garrett to follow as she started to play her ocarina.

"I've heard all about these rumors." He learned about the origin of the guardians the first time he visited the castle. "And.. some of the people you described sound familiar." He followed her inside.

Once Mercy finished half of her tune she pulled the instrument from her lips, "Yeah I heard those two I said died most recently, but I never had the misfortune of meeting them. I doubt they would like someone with..." She paused looking for the words, "My upbringing." She decided were the best ones as she abruptly turns on her heel and walks into a room that appeared to be a study cold and lit only my the sun shining through the window on the barren fireplace surrounded by old musty books.

Garrett's sources had informed him that Cat was still alive. Nathan was gone for sure though. "About their deaths.." The study must have been neglected by Apaichi. He looked into the fireplace, studying the ashes. "Some of them are still with us.." He got back up off of his knees and picked a book blowing off the dust buildup.

Mercy sat cross legged in the middle of the floor holding the ocarina ready as she studied the ground, a small layer of dust has accumulated and some of it was disturbed by their footsteps but there were also others. "I am sure their are others, but if they want to yell at us about intruding they should have been home to answer the door." She said matter-of-factly as she began to play a slow and sad song.

"As far as I know..." Apaichi started as he made his way into the room behind Mercy and Garrett. "This guild is open for whomever needs a safe haven, permission to enter is not needed. It's nice to see you again Garrett, who's your friend?" He looked at Mercy it was clear she was not human.
