Character Name: Jennifer Krawl, Jen
Gender: Female
Race: Salamander, humanoid fire elemental.
Job: Lead scientist and designer of Project Husk.
Age: Somewhere in the low hundreds. She appears to look like she is in the late twenties.
Likes: Silence, open flames, fish, order.
Dislikes: Rain, cold, chaos, the color purple, people who do not follow instructions, people who call her Sali.
Personality: Intelligent, yet arrogant, Jennifer fits the term 'hot-headed' well. It has been said that in operations she becomes more quiet, however. Calculating, and cruel in a fight, she puts emotions aside and rarely reflects her regular nature.
Brief background: Born and raised underground, Jennifer knew little of the world above. She grew amongst her own, in caverns filled with technological marvels. The Salamanders were intelligent beings, but withdrawn, never leaving the confines of their tunnels. Jennifer was strangely curious in youth, however, and journeyed up into the odd military city built over her home. This was a costly mistake, as the city-dwellers knew nothing of these fire elementals. The humans reacted violently towards Jen, attempting to detain her until they knew what to do with her. Jennifer resisted, and killed several unintentionally while making an escape out of the city.
Panicked and frenzied, the humans demanded retribution. They searched until the tunnel Jennifer had ventured out from had been found. They invaded the tunnel, catching the Salamanders by surprise. Slaughter ensued, organized droves of armed humans outnumbering the relatively peaceful race. Nothing of worth was left in the underground passageways only weeks later, the smell of the dead being all that remained. The marvelous creations of the Salamanders lay shattered, deemed unusable by the humans.
It was in the weeks that passed that Jennifer traveled, never knowing what had happened to those left behind. She kept away from all others she saw, relying purely on herself to survive. Years passed, until she one day was found by members of Mørket Förnya. They offered her more than just a life of survival; to join them. The choice was strangely alluring to Jen. In time she accepted them. They took her into their care, giving her a job of science and experimentation when they learned of her race's capabilities.
Jennifer rose through the ranks, slowly but surely. After one hundred or so years she was the spearhead of her own division of Mørket Förnya. They were stationed not so far off from the lands of War. Hidden deep under the earth, a choice made by Jennifer, they watched and experimented. Her team perfected an art of creating artificial forms of soulless humanoid, as well as ways to extract souls to put in these bodies. This was known as Project Husk. With this breakthrough, Jennifer again returns to the surface, of War this time. Leaving behind her team and laboratory for a time, she journeys out to the denizens of War. Curiosity taking her again, like it once had in her youth...
Quote: "Why the hell are you doing it that way?!"
Weapons and abilities: As a Salamander, she has the power of flames and earth. Unlike her kin, she has trained this gift. Examples of her power would be in the hardened molten shell that covers her body in times of danger, as well as the devastating waves of fire she can send out. Dust and superheated ash can block view, and hinder those around her. Her background with Mørke Förnya has given her access to some items such as man-sized nets charged with electricity.
For true weapons, she carries only two. A simple dagger, and a staff adorned in red jewels. The staff has two functions; a focus for her powers of fire, and a storage device of sorts for her gifts. With this staff Jennifer can store unused energy to release in times of need. It would take many days after a release of energy before the staff would be useful in this way again.

Somewhat a 'giant' among men at just under seven feet tall, Jennifer is covered head to toe in small scales of red and orange. This gives her the appearance of a lizard-like humanoid. Between the cracks of these scales flames can be seen glowing just below the surface. When in a fight, Jennifer often covers herself entirely in a form of magma armor, as seen in the picture above.
She does not wear shoes, but is never seen without a belt of black cloth wrapped around her waist. In this cloth she carries her dagger, as well as whatever she has brought with her from the lab for the day, week, ect.
Outside of battle, Jennifer is most often seen in long white lab coats.
